At the ferry terminal in Barra, awaiting ferry to Banjul, and after arrival in Banjul. It was probably the most adventurous book trip to Africa so far: 2 nights sleeping in the car at ferry terminals, in order to get to the 1st ferry in the morning (both times evening ferries canceled because of the weather), 30 hrs rain nonstop, and turned away by the senegalese customs. The headlines of the Gambian newspapers say today, the second ferry got stuck at sea from Friday to Sunday, so if I haven't spent the night at the terminal on Thursday, I could have gotten on that one.
